Weather
In April, the average day-time highs are 66 degrees and the average evening temperatures about 45 degrees. Meeting rooms may be cool due to air conditioning.
Airport
If it would take you more than eight hours to drive to this conference, ASGA recommends that you consider flying. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is about 25 miles from the official conference hotel, the Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia NE – Bensalem.
Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) and Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) are additional options for air travel and may be less expensive. If you fly into Atlantic City or Allentown, you will need a rental car. ACY is about 66 miles from the Holiday Inn Express Philadelphia NE – Bensalem, while ABE is about 70 miles from the hotel.
Taxis
Taxis can be picked up at Zone 5 on the Commercial Transportation Roadway at Philadelphia International Airport.
Uber or Lyft may be a cheaper option.
All taxi rates are based per trip, not per person. Most taxis can accommodate up to 3 passengers. In some cases certain vehicle types can accommodate 4 passengers.
There is a $10.00 minimum fare from the Airport to any destination.
Fares are based on the meter, which based upon entry (flag drop) is $2.70 and $2.30 per mile or portion thereof. An additional $1.00 per passenger ($3.00 maximum) after the first passenger will be charged on flat rate trips between the Airport and Center City for passengers over age 12. In addition, there will be charged an additional $1.50 Airport fee.

Public Transportation
From Philadelphia, you can take the train from Suburban Station and arrive at Torresdale, which is a stop on the Holy Family University campus. It is the “Trenton Line.” The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) phone app is very helpful: put in the stops and it will automatically tell you the up-to-date schedule. Holy Family can arrange a pick them up at the station and walk with them to the conference.

Uber and Lyft
Both taxi-alternatives are convenient and easy to use. You’ll probably save money by using Uber or Lyft over a taxi.
Rental Car
Getting a rental car or van may be the least expensive way to go for your transportation. There is no parking fee at either the recommended hotel or the conference location.
